How do I change my profile information?

Go to your profile settings to edit your photos and personal details.

How does the matching algorithm work?

Matches are based on preferences, location, and other filters you've set.

Why am I not getting any matches?

Ensure your profile is complete, try adjusting your preferences, and be active on the app.

Can I undo a swipe or like?

We currently do not offer "rewind" feature. If you are not sure, you can "save" the profile and come back later.

Why did my match disappear?

They may have unmatched you, deleted their account, or violated community guidelines.

Who can see my moments?

Your account is set up by default "public", which means everyone on the app can see your first moment. However, only your matches can see your the rest of the posts if you posted more than one moment.

What if I only want to show my moments to my matches?

You can set it to "Only matches" through the settings menu.

What is response rate?

Response Rate reflects how actively a user responds to messages within 24 hours over the past 30 days.

Why do you have the response rate feature?

In Peared, we believe in self-awareness, kindness, and emotional intelligence. We encourage people to communicate when they feel safe and comfortable—without forcing responses, but there are better ways to disengage from someone without "GHOSTING" them. Response rate is an objective indicator to measure the responsiveness of the user and to encourage a healthy dating culture.

What if I am busy and cannot reply to the messages?

If you anticipate you will be busy for certain reasons, you can enter "pause" mode. If you didn't respond to the newly received messages within this period, it will not be calculated.

What if the it's a mutual understanding and the conversation fades? Will the last person who didn't reply get penalized?

We use an AI model to determin whether a conversation is completed or not and the last person who didn't reply will not be penalized if it's a mutual agreed ending. If you believe it's a mistake, you can always write to customer support.

How do I report or block someone?

You can report or block users by selecting the options in their profile or chat. Our moderation team reviews all reports promptly to ensure a safe experience for everyone.

What happens if I block someone?

When you block a user, they will no longer be able to see your profile, message you, or interact with you in any way.

Is my personal data safe on the app?

Yes, your personal data is fully protected. We implement strict security protocols to ensure that your information remains confidential. Access to your data is controlled and we never share your details without your consent. Your privacy is our top priority.

How do I spot and avoid scammers?

Be cautious of users asking for money, moving conversations off the app quickly, or having suspiciously perfect profiles.

How do I verify my profile for extra security?

We offer profile verification through selfie verification to ensure authenticity and reduce fake profiles.

What should I do if I feel unsafe after meeting someone in real life?

Trust your instincts and prioritize safety. If needed, report the user to us, block them, and seek support from local authorities if necessary.

Why isn’t my app working?

Try updating the app, clearing the cache, or reinstalling it. If issues persist, contact customer support.

Why am I seeing the same profiles repeatedly?

This could be due to limited users in your area, your preferences, or an algorithmic reset.
